I am an enthusiastic and creative teacher of music (specialising in music composition, music theory, aural training, and singing) and Icelandic language and literature (specialising in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)). I am DBS checked and happy to teach in person (in the South East of England) or via the internet. I accept individual students as well as groups. I have delivered lectures and programmes in composition, music theory and aural training in England, Ireland and Iceland since 2009. Institutions include Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, King's College in London, DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin, Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavík, Listaskóli Mosfellsbæjar music school Iceland, and Tónsalir music school Iceland.

During my time as teacher and curriculum lead of Icelandic Language and Literature at the Southbank School and Halcyon School I have developed teaching material and assessment assignments for students of varying levels, and have nurtured ongoing student centred reflective practice, as well as delivered formal end of module evaluations for students of grade eleven and grade twelve. Through my teaching career I have demonstrated the benefits of utilising online platforms to enhance learning and offer additional opportunities for engagement. At the Southbank School I have received formal IBDP training.
