Dr. Helgi Rafn Ingvarsson develops and delivers lectures and modules on e.g. composition, creative collaboration, new opera and new music-theatre in higher education institutions in Iceland and the United Kingdom. Current and past institutions include Listaháskóli Íslands (Iceland University of the Arts) (“Music Theatre Lab”, click here for more), Söngskóli Sigurðar Demetz (S. Demetz’ Academy of Singing, Reykjavik, Iceland), University of Sussex Brighton, Guildhall School of Music and Drama London, King's College London, and DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama Dublin.

Helgi has tutored vocalists since 2012, both privately and in groups. At the Söngskóli Sigurðar Demetz in Reykjavík Iceland he currently leads Opera Department 1 as well as their in-house choir. Previously, Helgi has been the main conductor of e.g. Drengjakór Reykjavíkur (Reykjavík Boys’ Chorus) (2018-2019), and the Icelandic Choir of London (2012-2017), as well as having freelanced with numerous other groups.
